Long time, no post.....

Oh boy, so we've been busy! Actually, I've been sick as a dog. Came down with some horrendous virus (well, we now know that it was a virus) about 2.5 weeks ago and am just now feeling better. Doctors kept thinking it was a bacterial infection so I was put on 2 different antibiotics. I had tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, uvulitis, etc. Basically, anything in my throat that could become inflammed, irritated and infected....did. I was one sick puppy! Sunday I woke up with pink eye and at that point, I knew that I had an adenovirus. Wicked viruses I tell ya! Google it and you'll see that they last at least 7 days, cause upper respiratory infections and such. So, I've been sick....would you believe that I didn't miss a day of work either? Call me stoopid!

Jackson had his first day of preschool. Actually, it's Mother's Morning Out preschool. He arrives at 9AM and is there until 1PM. He and the other 2 year olds are on a schedule and they learn quite a bit. It is at a church so he's also learning about the Lord. Today was his first day and his teacher said he did beautifully. He played really well with all the other children and sat & learned well. She said he did even better than alot of the other "regular" children (Jackson will just be going on Wednesdays).

While Jackson is at preschool, I plan to grocery shop, complete my errands and such. Today I went back to the house and put away laundry, cleaned the kitchen, mopped the floor and did MORE laundry. I never have time to put away laundry because I don't dare leave Jackson downstairs with Audrey by himself and I don't dare leave him by himself downstairs either. I can't put Jackson's clothes away while he napping or he'll wake up. So, really, I don't have too much time to do.

Audrey is growing like a weed. She's 14 pounds and tall. We have her 4 month appt and vaccinations next Wednesday. She giggles all the time and loves her Mommy. Many times, only Mommy will do and only Mommy can hold her.

Dan is doing well. He's still getting up early to run every morning and has lost some weight. He's fitting into clothes that he hasn't been able to fit into for a year or more. His squadron only has 2 operational jets right now so he hasn't been flying all that much. He is fixated on maintaining our garden and lawn! Our lawn definitely does need some work....the people who we bought the house from let the lawn "go" so this is Dan's 2nd summer trying to correct it. Our garden looks fabulous though!

Tons of pictures -- you're actually probably going to get sick of looking at pictures for once!

Jackson loves to wear Daddy's hat...He'll yell, "HAT, HAT, HAT!!"

See any similarities?

Jackson, outside with no diaper....Horrible virus causing diarrhea.....needed to "air" out his little pa-tusch-ka! Poor Jackson, he was so miserable and his fanny was so red & burned from that virus/diarrhea.

Miss Audrey....too cute!

Are you tired of pictures yet? If so, GOOD! Cause I'm done.....I guess that's what I get for not updating the blog in a while but let me tell you, I was sick, sick, sick! And Dan doesn't know exactly how to update with all the pictures...:>)

Much love!

Cloth diapering....

So, we've transitioned over to cloth diapering for Audrey. I will only do it on my days off (Wednesday, Friday-Sunday). I don't want to ask our childcare provider to use them because it would be an added burden for her. Audrey's bum loves cloth diapers, my goodness. What a difference! It's not pink & red looking.

Not only are cloth diapers so cute nowadays, they are incredibly convenient. Just throw them in the wash and I dry ours outside. We bought flushable liners so if she goes poopy in the diaper, I just take the liner and flush it.

Here are a couple CDs that I've bought:

I've ordered about 10 more so that I have enough of a diaper stash to keep them rotating. I buy some used and some new. I'm so excited about cloth diapering; I'm addicted!

Almost giving us a smile but is too busy chewing on her fists!

Holding her head up nice and high...

Jackson's first experience with Dunkaroos (taking cookies and dipping them into chocolate icing....) Looks like he is wearing chocolate lipstick! And no, it wasn't fun cleaning it all up but he had fun!

Jackson, Audrey & I met up with one of my friends from online, Jen & her daughter Abby (who was born about 2 weeks after Jackson). We all went strawberry picking. Jackson got the hang of it and it was so much fun. Jen's husband is an officer in the Air Force. She pregnant with #2 and due in October.

Abby just couldn't love on Audrey enough! She was rocking the carseat and giving her kisses! She loved the baby!

Time for some Capri Sun's -- so thirsty!

Abby screamed and cried hard when she had to say goodbye to Audrey! She was not happy leaving Audrey, at all!
